IDM South Tyrol is responsible for tourism marketing and, in future, the coordination of local and regional cooperation with the tourism organisations. The South Tyrolean provincial government is making this possible by reforming the tourism organisations, which are now being reorganised to achieve better networking.
South Tyrol is to become better known, its themes, products and areas of experience are to be communicated and marketed even more vigorously. For this reason there will be three so-called Destination Management Entities (DMEs) in operation from 2018 which will be responsible for generating and utilising synergies with product development and marketing. To achieve this aim, the South Tyrol tourism organisations are to be reorganised under the project title “Future Tourism”.
