The key function of the Product team is to promote greater development of tourism in South Tyrol. Here, maintaining alignment with the core values of the South Tyrol umbrella brand plays just as important a role as supporting tourism partners in the development of products. Raising awareness about sustainability is also in this context one of our most important activities.

Here is an overview of our main functions.

  • align existing products and services with the core values of South Tyrol and develop new ones
  • provide tourism partners with advice and support in developing products
  • further develop and manage mobility in South Tyrol, accessibility and hotspot management
  • inform partners and raise their awareness about the issue of sustainability
  • set up special flagship projects
  • provide a centre of expertise for themed travel in South Tyrol

Themed travel in South Tyrol

Guests decide where to go for their next holiday based on travel themes, which are the attractions that guests would like to focus on during their holidays. Over the last few years travel themes in South Tyrol have hardly changed. This means that the needs of guests who come to South Tyrol have basically remained the same.
Based on market research, six travel themes have been defined for South Tyrol.

  • Towns & Culture
  • Skiing & Winter
  • Cycling
  • Hiking & Mountaineering

Communications, events and products are developed based on these travel themes, which are reflected on, in printed material and at events and form part of the South Tyrol lifestyle.
