A sector that’s aiming high.

IDM develop multi-year strategic plans for the development of the wellness sector.

The wellness sector is one of South Tyrol’s areas of excellence. With the exceptionally high density and quality of its wellness hotels, South Tyrol is setting its sights on becoming the leading destination of the Alpine regions in the health and wellness sector. At the time of writing, there are approximately 500 hotels which specialise in wellness tourism.

The role of IDM

In order to remain competitive, further consolidation of South Tyrol’s wellness sector is essential. IDM, consequently, in conjunction with institutional and economic organisations, develops strategic plans aimed towards developing the sector and promoting key projects throughout the entire value chain. This approach leads to profitable synergies between local and extra-regional players in the fields of research, training and the economy in general. Because it is only by coming together that we can guarantee the growth and progress of South Tyrol into the future.

To this end, we study future trends, monitor market trends, and identify platforms and strategic multi-year plans to provide the wellness sector with innovative support.

Tomorrow must be planned today

If impetus to the wellness sector is to be effective, new projects and product development are essential. It is particularly important to promote appreciation of natural Alpine resources and to accentuate the beneficial effects of nature and the mountain air on health and wellness, particularly in structurally weaker areas and in intermediate seasons.
